‘Singham’ to premiere on Star Gold this weekend

Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster hit ‘Singham’ will get its World TV Premiere on Star Gold this Saturday night.

The action packed movie directed by Rohit Shetty was released barely two months ago. It also stars newcomer Kajal Aggarwal.

‘Singham’ is still being shown at selected cinemas and has proved a runaway success since its release in July. In India, the channel is expected to make huge moolah from advertising during the telecast of the film. It�۪s a premium property as the film is still at cinemas.

According to BusinessLine, a normal blockbuster non-premiere would be between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 while a premiere such as the recent blockbuster Singham which is being premiered on Star Gold would command between Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakhs for a ten-second spot.

Star Gold will also be premiering films like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Ra.One’ over the next few months.

‘Singham’ airs on Star Gold this Saturday (10th September) at 20:30.
