Samantha Ruth Prabhu to star opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in Raj-DK’s next
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has secured the female lead role in Raj-DK’s highly anticipated web-series tentatively titled ‘Rakhtabeej’, opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. This marks her third collaboration with the acclaimed filmmakers following her successful stint in ‘The Family Man 2’ and the upcoming series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’.
According to sources, Aditya Roy Kapur had been in discussions with Raj-DK for six months regarding the project. A source shared with Mid-Day, “It was only in May that he gave his nod to the project. Soon after, the makers brought Samantha on board. Since the show heavily relies on action, the two actors have begun their individual prep. They will do joint training sessions soon.”
The series, which will commence shooting in August, is set to feature a heavy emphasis on action sequences. Both lead actors are already preparing for their roles, undergoing individual training sessions with plans for joint sessions in the near future.
