Lyca Radio’s Vallisa joins BBC Asian Network in weekend slot

BBC Asian Network has today announced that Vallisa Chauhan will be joining the station.

The presenter will host weekend slots on Saturday (11:00 – 15:00) and Sunday (21:00 – 23:00) from Saturday 20 April.

On Saturdays from 11:00 – 14:00, Vallisa will bring the best in entertainment from the world of Bollywood and the UK, and the very best music from British Asian artists through to the biggest tracks from the station’s playlist. Vallisa will also host the Asian Network Certified Throwbacks hour (14:00-15:00).

Sunday will see Vallisa take the reins of Asian Network Bollywood (21:00 – 22:00), bringing listeners all the best in Bollywood music, alongside Asian Network’s Global Beats (22:00 – 23:00) – the station’s celebration of British Asian Beats, Bhangra vibes, Bollywood hits, Pakistani anthems and more.

Vallisa joins the network from Lyca Radio, where she has worked since 2021 and hosted the Breakfast Show. She started her radio career in 2010 and has since become a well-known Bollywood DJ in the UK, interviewing some of the biggest names across Asian music.
