Dunya News to cease broadcasting on Sky in UK

Pakistani broadcaster Dunya News is set to cease its transmission on the Sky platform in the UK on Monday 1st July.

This decision comes after a significant rise in transmission costs and a noticeable decline in linear television viewing, which have collectively made it untenable for the channel to continue its presence on Sky.

Dunya News has been a staple on Sky since 2015, providing a variety of news content to the Pakistani community and other viewers in the UK. The channel has been available free-to-air on Sky channel 754, making it easily accessible to a broad audience.

Despite this change, viewers will still be able to watch Dunya News through various streaming digital platforms. The shift to digital platforms reflects the growing trend of audiences moving away from traditional TV viewing to online streaming services, which offer more flexibility and accessibility.
