Sangita Myska leaves LBC after two years in new schedule changes

National news station LBC has officially announced the departure of Sangita Myska, despite fervent calls from listeners to reinstate the presenter.

Myska, who held the weekend 13:00 slot on LBC for over two years, abruptly exited the station’s line-up, leaving listeners surprised.

Tom Cheal, LBC’s Senior Managing Editor, expressed appreciation for Myska’s contributions, stating, “We’d like to thank Sangita for her fantastic contribution to LBC and we wish her every success in the future.”

In response to Myska’s departure, LBC has made adjustments to its weekend schedule. Former Conservative Party parliamentary candidate and commentator, Ali Miraj, will now host two weekend shows following a successful guest-hosting stint. Additionally, Iain Dale’s popular programme will be expanded to five days a week, with Dale presenting an additional show on Friday evenings.

As part of its ongoing revamp, LBC recently unveiled a flagship Sunday morning politics show hosted by The News Agents co-host Lewis Goodall. The station is gearing up for significant coverage of British politics leading up to the general election.

Furthermore, LBC announced the addition of Vanessa Feltz to its lineup, who will host a new Saturday programme starting May 4th, contributing to the station’s refreshed weekend schedule.
