Netflix shares dwindle after subscribers slow down

Netflix’s shares have dwindled after its subscriber growth slowed down.

BBC News reports that 3.98 million people signed up for Netflix between January and March 2021, much less than the projected six million. Earlier Netflix experienced a boom in subscriber numbers due to the pandemic.

The company said a lack of new shows could have impacted subscribers numbers.

Netflix shares fell by 11% in after-hours trading to $489.28.
